Carrots and Kristov
Weekend been i shot down to Kuhne to get some riding with old mates in and run a muck.
The plan was for Koan and myself to meet up with Hagan and company on Saturday and ride Whakapapa. Just like most things nothing went ahead as intended. Due to the competent staff at Turoa lodge our booking appeared to have mysteriously dissapeard, spite having been charged to the visa we ended up crashing in Ratahi. Saturday we hit up Turoa along with the other four thousand people. Was pretty cloudy but snow conditions were alright. Unfortunatley my achilies tendon started playing up and made it unbearable to ride so we went for a 4wd mish in the Samurai.
1 broken window, 9 puddles, several exposed trees, 1 river and 149kg's of mud later.......
(i dont really need to say anything here just join the dots)
Saturday night keeping true to form things got messy. Upholding tradition i imported two casks of zeee finest goon to ever grace the lips of Ohakune. Koan stayed true and aquired us some tequilia shots whilst also showing us the VIP entry to the keg. I also learnt a new drinking game, ask me about it next time we're having a cheeky. You'll be pleasantly surprised.
The rest of the night is super hazy but i have a receipt for two steak and egg burgers and recall eating a frozen hotdog on a stick and walking for what appeared to be eternity...FML
It went a lil summin like this....
Sunday i kept it casual, and rode till lunch time. Due to ridiculously high winds the upper mountain was crap so the majority of my riding was spent around the park and in the cafe sipping lattes.
Didnt catch up with Hagan and co and nothing spectacular was shot that was worthy of being posted.
